It is an old loophole...bribes, oops, I mean 'gifts' are offered as back door...well, BRIBES!and Huckabee is playing it off like it is not CRIMINAL because he weaseled it within the 'law'.. Wake up people, this could be the guy in charge of the Purse strings for the nation.

He did not just accept gifts, 'whatever', he used that as a quid pro quo and appointed ppl to government positions. That, like stopping prosecution for your son killing a dog (GOOGLE THAT)--is illegal. Beyond the bible thumping, he also lacks the values that he professes.

You know what, I hope huckabee becomes president. It is time that America has a corrupt politician who drives America the same route as the USSR. And Huckabee is up for the challenge.
By the way, huckabee is more liberal than anyone else on the republican stage.

receiving gifts is not illegal but receiving a 100K plus a year in gifts as a governor, smells fishy. He failed to report the gifts, even though they were "not proven to be illegal".

Huckabee is scum, but he's "God's candidate" so the evangelicals love him. It is amazing - all you have to do is talk about God a lot and claim to really religious and regardless of what you do and who you really are, the religious right loves you. It's sickening.
