I'd love to see you recognizing that you are just as susceptible to confirmation bias as Dennis. It's a fact about atheists too. And the fallacy of "anecdotal reasoning" is a problem of reasoning from one case to a general principle. So if you actually meant to call out that fallacy, your argument would be "maybe that one person has a soul, but there's no evidence of other souls." You mean to say that you don't trust his testimony.

Fenoglios- I agree, even atheists can have confirmation bias... it isn't good when anyone has it.
As for the out-of-body experience story, it sounds like a good ghost story. Fun to tell, but they can't really be tested (more precisely, they are tested, but haven't been verified to happen).
