@ford762 ha... haha. Look, im a bush voter, so im putting my foot in my mouth here- but are you serious? This country had a budget SURPLUS when Clinton was in office. Bush created the biggest deficit EVER. You want to inherit that and try to fix it without spending money? Gimme a break...

@danglywang hm... you do realize the reason American created NAFTA was because companies were flailing in the wind because of ridiculous US union pay, right? You do know the number predict a vast majority of companies would have failed without over seas labor, right? You know what companies kept most jobs here? General Motors... know whats happening to them? They're dieing. I'm far from a democrat, but you have to face the facts.

Carter followed 8 yrs of Nixon & Ford. He inherited high inflation & stagnation. Reagan was in office 8 yrs, Bush Sr. 4 yrs. that is 12 yrs. of Rep. Presidency in a row. After 8 yrs. things were headed down the tubes again. By the end of Bush Sr. admin. we were in another recession. Reagan ran up the national debt. From 1969-1993 we had 24 years of Republican Presidents. Clinton beat Bush Sr. based on the economy being BAD after 12 yrs. of Republican Rule (It's the economy stupid!) remember?
