@TehBrizon I absolutely agree, not practical. There is no benefits being gained from this concept, it's more of a step backwards. You want to reduce the amount of friction in any moving part not increase it. Also, like you said, you now have six bearings to maintain.
@lucashc2 yeah and I guess they could mount the caliper to the part that the little wheels are mounted. I was more just mentioning that they didnt build it in this design to show it can be done. Not to many people want a centerless rim with no brakes.
Why would you bother? you preplacea device that had one set of centralized high speed bearings with either one HUGE, heavier, more expensive bearing or in this case, it appears that you have THREE bearing sets. That's poor engineering if you ask me... Increased parts number and complexity is not good design. The reason motorcycle drivetrains aren't like this is because it is inferior.
Why are all the comments with these kinda videos so up the ass with this concept?

@brad8taylor A centerless disc brake would do, problem it would need to be almost the size of the wheel.

I didnt see how the brakes were going to be done.

Why is this called Hubless ? centreless maybe, the tyre is fitted to a wheel hub
