  • pullups are by definition overhand

  • @zazenzach That actually depends on which country you are from. Here "pull ups" are what Americans call "chin ups". I think it's best to describe the variation by grip; "over hand, underhand or neutral grip, rather than by "pull up" or "chin up". - less confusion that way.

  • Good stuff as always do you find a difference with the handles to pull up rather than just the straight bar .I would have thought that it was easier on the wrists .Thanks again for taking the time to do this

  • @MegaBaldy09 I think neutral or underhand grip feels better on the wrists.

  • where can you buy the bands? I've been looking for some for a while but can't find anywhere in the UK. Also there are different sizes of bands, can you give me an idea of which size to start with or does it relate to your weight. Thanks K :)

  • @westcoastkirsty I have links on the site to Pullum and EliteFTS for bands. You'll need to check out their guides for the thickness to use. It's not so much your weight, but how much you can do already that will determine the band you need :)

  • combination of band pull ups and negatives is what i have found best in training women in pull ups. band or assisted pull ups at the start of the week and negatives near the end of the week. assistance work on the biceps and grip is great also.

  • 6:14 You use that warm boots inside the house!I am wondering what you wear outside?!

  • I have sprained my wrist do you have any tips for re-hab exercises ?

    Cheers

  • Great!!!

  • You don't want to just dead hang there at the bottom correct? That's leaving your bodyweight hanging by your shoulder ligaments and tendons when no major muscles are contracted and firing isometrically.

I never go from a dead hang I always stop before it -- but that's because I have very lax shoulder joints so maybe not everyone needs to worry about it.
