Now if every working person in China were made to compulsorily donate just 10 cents to a special earthquake fund every month, it will accumulate into a few hundred million yen within a few years and this huge fund can be use to assist those affected by earthquake or any natural disaster. There should not be any question of asking for donations whenever fund for such purpose are greatly needed.

@karmlan123 -Dalai Lama was one of the first public figures to announce that he'll be offering financial assistance for the victims of the earthquake in western Tibet. He also has requested the Chinese leaders to allow him to visit the region affected by the earthquake but as we all know, no way is the chinese govt gonna allow him entry. Dalai Lama is like a rockstar in Tibet. All tibetans love and respect him.
