How is your work building community? --Mark Simms

Mark Simms serves as the executive producer for Jane-Finch.com. Mr. Simms oversees the external development of the website and its community outreach activities. Mark Simms is a film director and television producer and served as an investigative journalist for CBC's flagship journal, The Fifth Estate. Mr. Simms produces music videos and documentaries and his work has appeared on stations such as Much Music, MTV and CBC.

Mark Simms is an avid athlete and sportsman. He is a professional full-contact fighter and holds a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. Mr. Simms has won multiple first-place trophies and medals in tournaments across Canada and the United States. Mark Simms is also versed in physical education and body mechanics having worked as a professional fitness instructor training athletes from the NHL.

Mark Simms continues to proudly serve the community of Jane-Finch through his speaking engagements and motivational activities for students.
