    I wonder why the Germans do endure such pacifist trash movies, as they do appear to me as a French movie made about the battles of Waterloo or Leipzig! Though one could glorify a defeat, like the Greeks did with the Thermopylae battle and the Spartans; but normally one would expect German Word War 2 war movies to be made about the battles of Sedan, Gazala or Kiev; but I guess this flick is part of the constant morale re-education terror which the Americans have put on the Germans.

    Great film. I'm interested in knowing how other people compare this film with the 2008 version. I just watched the 2008 film and honestly did not like the script or the acting.
