i know. people talking about how oil is going bye bye by 2050, its just so ridiculous.

the controls looks steampunk.

Are you talking about Stan Meyer's technology? The problem with that is Stan Meyer is dead, and nobody that i know of has been able to replicate his buggy. The last I heard of it was that it went to an organization called "The Disclosure Project" but I haven't heard about it since. Anyone else who has tried designing their own method hasn't been able to develop a system that can generate enough hydrogen to run a full sized vehicle, and they would need more than 12V to do it.

No, there is an engine technology that draws hydrogen from plain tap water. I know what you are talking about, and it's about as useless as ethanol as far as alternatives go. With water cell cars you can actually just collect rainwater or use a dehumidifier and power your automobile without paying anything for fuel, ever (except electricity to run the dehumidifier). The technology is also very cheap to produce. The fact that you don't even know about it proves why we wont $ee it available $oon.

You must be talking about hydrogen cars, and if you are referring to the hydrogen cars that the politics are pushing, then did you know they plan to get that hydrogen from oil? They want to create an infrastructure that is no different from that of fossil fuels, so they can charge you money and tax it.
At least with electric powered vehicles you have options on how you "fill her up". You could even charge it from a home-built hydrogen generator if you wanted to.

We have had electric cars as long as we have had internal combustion engines. Most of the first cars were electric and intended for doctors and so forth, to be reliable for house calls. But the profit motive of petrol killed that technology, which was actually far more reliable, and it became as extinct as doctors doing house calls.
At this point, when generating electricity is at a near limit, and still tied to a carbon unit as much as petrol in most cases, water cars seem a better option.

That is the stupidest idea for a car I have ever seen in my life. Anybody that's not a complete idiot would know that small cars are GARBAGE! The Smart car sucks, And this car is surely just as bad if not worse. I'll stick with domestic cars from now on.

why do they even bother making theese, as usual it will take several decades to get it in market that is if it survives in shelf that long.

It's a shame General Motors killed off the first Evee... if they hadn't, we could be YEARS ahead techologically speaking. But noooooo, too much profit loss. Greedy bastards.
Oh, by the way - there is no oil shortage. Companies only ever measure up to 100 years worth at a time.

They sped up her voice.
But I'm getting tired of these concepts that don't need to be concepts. The technology has been out there to make electric cars for more than 50 years, but the car companies just come up with ridiculous looking concepts that no one will want to drive. They make them look like they are a thing of the future, but they could easily be made and produced now. More people need to stand up and demand this technology.
