In this excerpt from C-SPAN's interview with Associate Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan (airing Sunday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. ET on C-SPAN), Justice Kagan describes using an Amazon Kindle to read briefs. Included in her comments, "I have a Kindle that my briefs are on. You know I saw Justice Scalia, he said that he had them on an iPad and I thought, huh, maybe I should have them on an iPad. But mine are on a Kindle and I also of course you know sometimes truck them around just on hard copy. So I do both."

  • It seems like a pretty non-partisan video to me. I think it's cool that the Supreme Court would see the value of digital reading technology to their jobs. I always assumed they'd be too old school for such things. But you guys can continue your flame war, don't mind me.

  • Db, after 8 years of Bush who eliminated habeas corpus from the US Constitution and most of the Bill of Rights under the Military Commissions Act of 2006, I suggest you don't know what you are talking about.

By the way, have you ever read it. I mean anything but the 2nd Amendment.

Your ilk thinks that business are people. They are not, and they don't vote!

  • Hi mmmmmm

  • Who cares? Do both... I'm pretty sure they can afford it. Night reading is better on the iPad and Kindle is there when the iPad battery dies.

  • what did you say ?
