To illustrate the plight of Danganya Primary School I am going to swim from Warner Beach to Widenham (+-25 kms) by June month end. I am swimming it to highlight a number of points.
1.This region is the FORGOTTEN COUNTRY.
2.There is little or no economic investment in the area in over twenty years.
3.Out of necessity the people are turning to crime.
4.A symptom of this disinvestment is Danganya Primary School-THE FORGOTTEN CHILDREN
The reason for the swim is firstly that it has never been done before. It is a significant distance. It is shark infested with Zambezi s, Great Whites and Tiger Sharks. I am willing to risk myself for the betterment of the area, to draw attention to the plight of the region and most importantly the plight of 300 forgotten school children at Danganya Primary School. My sacrifice is nothing compared to their daily toilet and schooling ordeal!
