This is your tax dollars at work for you. I was hired by a salvage company to go to car dealerships and crush all of the "Cash for clunkers" that they had purchased for about $3.00 per 100 pounds. The Problem with this deal is that we were crushing perfectly good cars and trucks that could have been donated to charity or auctioned off, and let the proceeds benefit someone who truly needs it. Some cars or trucks were as little 3 years old. It was sad to see such a waste. BTW, the cars were then sent back to the scrap yard, crushed even smaller, then they were hauled to a port in Deleware and shipped to China to be recycled there.. Ever hear of Chinese steel?

  • I drive a 1987 Dodge Dakota. It is paid for and gets less than 20 mpg. Every time I step on the throttle, a hippie cries. Climate Change is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the public. I will not drive a hybrid. I will not live in a bamboo house. I will not stop eating meat "to reduce greenhouse gases."

  • The idea is to reduce green house gas by scraping gas hog cars and trucks.

  • Wasteful Americans

  • not a part saved or re-used...some of those looked nice as well. What an absolute waste of good cars and trucks - and their parts. What was the nicest thing you destroyed?
