The most magical thing about this specific version is that Billie and Lester were not on speaking terms at the time, but they put fourth one of their best performances. According to people that were in the room, Lester didn't look like he was even going to take a solo, until he stood up right before Billie went back into singing and played what we see in this clip. The Ken Burns documentary has more of this clip.
