@pirate2700 he couldn't perform his quad salchow because of a stress fracture and he didn't want to risk breaking his foot again.

@pirate2700 I know what you mean about the arms in skating nowadays .I was in the isi winter classic last feb,and I noticed skaters from different rinks were using more arm stuff then jumping and thats who the judges picked ;0 But I still think that evan is an amazing skater and he loves what he does and I really think he should have won ,while he dosen't do a triple he lands what he does skate and its more important to skate a clean program.My instructor says whats next a 5 rotation jump!

Lysacek didn't do anything interesting yes, but his performance was nearly flawless and it is this perfection that made him win gold.

Lysaceck is a good skater and I like him. But I saw him and Plushenko live skating together at the GSA, and must say there's no possible comparison: Plushenko has a magnetic personality you can feel when he's on the ice, while Lysaceck hasn't, he isn't in the least passionate or charismatic. Just a good skater.
