@Discgolfer1234 Oh yeah, absolutely! He wrote a lot of great stuff for himself and got well covered too, like "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" being a famous cover by Linda Ronstadt. What's really heroic about Zevon is how he successfully labored to finish his last album when he was already terminally ill. The doctors thought that he might be dead within weeks but he hung on for several more months and managed to get the album done....and with his work finished, he died soon thereafter.
