This one is for Siegfriedishot, who enjoys the adventures of Blade, the Daywalker. Blade first appeared in 1973 in Marvel's "The Tomb of Dracula." wreitten by Marv Wolfman and penciled by artist Gene Colan. Coian put him in a leather jacket and made him look like a composite of famous blacks, with NFL star Jim Brown as the principle model. Blade is part vampire himself, thanks to a vampire doctor who treated and nibbled on his mother at birth and passed along selected vampire enyzymes. As a quasi-vampire, Blade continued to devil Dracula ("It takes one to kill one") for the next couple of years, then rested awhile before joining Ghost Rider in 1992. He was with the Nightstalkers the next year, then got his own full-color book when "Blade: The Vampire Hunter" appeared in 1995. The Blade series has continued off and on ever since. He had also made a successful transfer to movies and television, with action star Wesley Snipes playing the title role in the movies, and rapper Kirk Jones playing the series role on television. Blade even makes the occasional animated guest appearance in the Spider-Man animated TV series. Wrapping it up, you'll also encounter Blade as hero in a couple of PC and console games. Music is "Vampyre," performed by Midnight Syndicate.
