Craig is so much more fun with Ewan. Letterman has such a stick up his ass.

I used to be a big fan of them, but I have to say this is a boring interview. though I enjoyed learning about Ewan's trip, the chemistry between Ewan and Dave is simply terrible. The questions are too serious and predictable, and Dave tried too hard to make interesting/funny revelations from the conversation.. I just checked out ewan on craig ferguson, he seemed so alive, funny and at ease, a totally different person than here..letterman is good only when he can bring out the best in his guests

I really don't like Lettermans style. I won't say he's a prick, cause I don't know him personally, but he DOES come off as one. He doesn't stand a chance against Craig Ferguson.

i think Letterman is talking about some really serious issues and i think its more not knowing how to approach the subjects and make it entertaining, rather than disliking Ewan. By the end of the interview, he probably didnt want to make the conversation any more serious so it sounded rude at the end when he said "Weve already covered the bike thing"

its quite nice to see just a normla interview without all the pushed jokes. Its good. You get a better natural interview out of it. I dont care if interviews are always funny.

Okay, now go watch the late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. See the difference. Ewan is so much more comfortable with him and it's actually quite funny.

yeah i know what you mean
but....on the other hand i think i learned a quite a bit more here then the interview with craig
that was fun don't get me wrong, but this seems to have more depth and meaning

Aw man, I wish he was on Craig Ferguson's talk show.

The thing is, anyone can do the same trip really (well maybe skipping the Road of Bones)
It's not impossible, that's one of the finest aspects about the show. It just takes motivation, equipment and a budget.
I've never seen Letterman before but I don't think I like his style. At first he was like "soo, have you ever made a trip?" and then he had pictures and clips. You can't introduce a topic that way, it looks terrible.

It can take a little while for people to take a liking to Letterman. Either that or they genuinely dislike his style but I'm part of the former group. I initially found him utterly unfunny and found the audience even more annoying than him. Now I love Letterman's seeming dislike for his own jokes and the occasional brilliant interjection of very expositional and out-of-place jokes (ie. This Is Your Lunch).
