VW beetles are VERY suitable to use as driving school cars. This commercial shows a woman (of course) who has her first driving lesson. Since she is alone in the car, I don't know what happened to her instructor!

  • Hey beetlejuice, I'm from Brazil and made the subs so you can put on this vid if you want.

From the first phrase till the last, this is what the "instructor" says:

    - Sorry, but have you released the parking brake?

    - Thats it, now with calm, release the clutch slowly...

    - It doesn't matter, start the car again.

    - No no, you need to put in neutral first.

    - No, not like this.

    - Have you wondered if it wasn't a VW?

  • @Chevelli thanks for your translations here!!!

  • Beetlejuice, this is another brazilian ad,and was done by 1968,starring a famous actress here, named Regina Duarte. This is another "state-of-the-art" commercial made by Alex Periscinotto, and shows how strong the VW is to handle with the learner´s difficulties...By the way,the instructor is not inside the car,but is the narrator of the filma, giving some "tips" to the young girl at the wheel...Very cute !!!!!

A big hug from Brazil, and thanks for sharing this one !!!!

  • @sage1133 is that really what the ad said?

  • Volkswagen. So good even a woman could drive it....Almost..

  • way before 72

  • not a '72

  • don't mod bugz4me down. Just look up "women, know your limits" on youtube :D

  • Women know your limits!

  • I remember a driver school in the late sixties (Named "Continental") in Mexico City, used a fleet of early beetles with a pair of steering wheels: One real in the left side for the student and one fake (With conections) for the instructor. That was cool! Sorry for collectors that any of this cars survive.
