I've heard it said- the people who think Jimmy Carter was a good president....
aren't 't old enough to remember working under it.
Aren't old enough to remember the "misery index" and the hostages, and the gas lines, and the inflation...

That's called lying in case you didn't know :)

When he said on live television he had no involvement in sending armed weapons to Iran and denied US trade between the two (Perhaps forgetting due to his Alzheimer's or just his own stupidity). He continued to say tell this lie until his own administration eventually ended up confessing the fact they the US had in fact been trading with Iran in hopes they would release some hostages in return. Then, like a dog with its tail between his legs he simply said 'heh heh, well..." and played it off.

This man really cares about people, no one in politics can be accused of that!

GOD Blessed the U.S. to have had Mr. Carter for the short time that we had him. This man wrote his own speeches and he told the truth and the truth is never popular! Look at where we are now as a nation, the truth of his words are becoming more obvious but America chose to roll over and go back to sleep and elect Reagan who wasn't even a very good actor!

This man looks like he is going to cry! What a depressing person! I do not see one ounce of strength and leadership in this man at all!

@MrClipper23 oh yeah, you mean that civilized continent where they produced WW1 and 2, and such loving people as Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini? Where they they have produced such wonderful ideas as Nazism, Communism, and Fascism that has made the lives of some many people much more prosperous, productive and worthwhile? And where they had the wonderful ethnic cleansing of Muslims through Civil War that lead to mass graves for the victims and Court Trials for the thugs? Oh yeah, THAT civilized place!
Just lie and smirk about it like Reagan and you will be a legend.

I'm an Arab, and I could say that Jimmy Carter was the most admirable and honest American politician.
He said: If we (USA) are the strongest in the world we need to make peace.
How could someone that is so honest gets so hatefull comments, he did not have anything to do with the hostages. Reagan was beyond thier problems as he was behind every proble in our region (Lebanon, Afghanistan, Palestine, etc...)
