I AM A 14 YEAR OLD, AND HAVE BEEN A VEGETARIAN FOR 1 YEAR NOW.IT WASNT EASY BECOMING A VEGETARIAN WITH MY PARENTS NOT SUPPORTING IT BUT I FOUGHT AS HARD AS I COULD AND THEY NOW SUPPORT ME BEING ONE, SINCE THEN I HAVE WANTED TO BECOME A VEGAN, THEY WONT ALLOW ME TO BECAUSE THEY DONT SUPPORT IT AT THE AGE I AM THEY THINK ITS NOT HEALTHY AND SUCH. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND YOU CAN DO IT AT MY AGE. I AM FIGHTING TO BECOME VEGAN, SO THAT I KNOW I AM SAVING ALL THE ANIMALS I CAN<3

I really do not care what the "Webster's' definition of murder is. Unjust killing by any other name is still just as abhorrent. There is NO compelling reason whatsoever to eat meat. It is not healthy for humans; it is clearly bad for the animals; and it devastates the environment. You may not cal it murder by the stingy definition that leaves animals out of our human state of "grace" - but it is the same thing. As such, I see no need to mince words or parse meanings. It's murder.

@geysernut Veganism is a great answer for people who are uncomfortable with slaughter, but slaughter is not murder. Murder is defined as the killing of one human being by another human being. The definition is very rigid and cannot include animals. Cruelty exists, yes, and I am deadset against abuse. PETA euths 100s of cats and dogs a year because of their hateful anti-pet position. Do you think that is murder?

@CoruscantSunset Veganism is a perfectly good answer for some of us. There is no kind, humane way to murder an animal...and murder is what it is. We don't need meat to live a long healthy life - and if we don't need to kill an animal to live that long, healthy life, then the killing is unjustified - the definition of murder.
