Yeah, the ILS GS was OOS that day, so we were flying a LOC approach.

BTW do they fly it by hand or use VOR/LOC hold?

IFR heli flight has got to be way more difficult than fixed wing, I fly IMC on a sim(X-Plane 9) with mostly helicopters and it gets pretty intense, especially keeping the ball in the center during descent..Is it like this in real HIFR?

I see that the efis display is showing your glide slope missing. Are you flying a LOC approach or did you guys lose your GS on the approach?
