@PJade Its known as the World version, but it feels unfinished. The Japanese version feels more complete since it has more background details and character moves.

I'd rather play the arcade version for 3 player co-op.. being ported to SNES should've retained at least 2 players.. but only 1 player? fuck it.

I love this game!!! Played it when I was a kid!
-
I'm impressed, it's surprisingly close to the arcade original.

wow this could have been a contender for streets of rage

@MoneyMatthew I saw the arcade unit there when I went out to eat with a group of friends during AnimeFEST in September 2005. I have zero clue as to whether it's still there or not, I've never been back since. Your best bet might be to call them up and find out. Hope that helps!

@PJade Hi hows it going. I live in the Dallas area. Are you saying that there is an Undercover Cops arcade unit at Spaghetti Warehouse in Dallas or are you saying there is an SNES version there? Its next to impossible to even find a coin-op anywhere here in Texas. I played Undercover Cops the arcade game in 1992 a the State Fair of Texas. How long ago did you see it there?

Great game. Gotta love the silly renamed bosses in the US arcade game: Boss 1, Parcs ("scrap" spelled backwards, clever?) was renamed "Cueball" and Boss 2 Francoise (misspelled "Franswars" in the Japanese game) was renamed "Fatso", etc., etc., etc... Fun facts.

@RawbThatPunk Yep, and it was known as the NAZCA Team when they worked over at Irem Corp.

@tooniverse gutted!..what could have been eh!
You might already be aware, but do you know while the SNES version by Irem America went unreleased, there is an existing version (a few, actually) of the arcade port of Undercover Cops that did make it to the USA, right?
They still have one at the Spaghetti Warehouse in downtown Dallas, last I checked.
