On the original version, the "choir" was just a bunch of assembled session singers including Madeline Bell and Lesley Duncan (the latter of whom collaborated with Elton on "Love Song" off "Tumbleweed Connection").

Stunning performance of a moving song. Am I the only one, though, who hears "Won't you please excuse my fingers, but it's not my cup of tea" in this particular version?

@dennello I'm by no means saying he's not an amazing performer. I just saw him in concert a couple of weeks ago! However, there is no denying that his voice has truly transformed into a more powerful, slightly deeper tone.

@05pricej Who are you? Simon? Were talking almost 40 years here. See if Britney or Miley or whoever is around in 2051!

@GeminiSpaceship Whilst it is a much less clean voice than it used to be it's actually surprisingly very close to the original pitch. I've heard him sing as high as a Bb above middle C in the last few years (in levon). But yes, the falsetto is definately nothing compared to what it used to be.

I really wish someone would upload Take Me to the Pilot from this concert. What an amazing performance it was!
