NOTE: Most of the tricks/exploits in these run are from satvara, Akheon, kevbew63, so basically it's not my work. Do check their channels for more details.
Because restart will not count time in GoW, I just restarted the game when I missed, not quit and load, so the videos are edited.

  • Restart whoring now? Interesting. If it works that way, couldn't you have skipped the visual cue at 1:38 by restarting after getting that far?

    I prefer setting up for Spirit rather then Valor against the first Hydra head. I also use parrys and "roll to triangle" for quick handling against it.

    If you get good at it, guiding OH can work well for killing an extra target or so.

    Does that cutscene count time? I think not. Even if it does, as I remember, there isn't a restart point after that.

    I am very surprised that both of you didn't know that restart doesn't count time, I noticed this very early.

  • open the lid on the ps2 and then close it back to skip the cutscenes in god of war. can you do this and post a vid of it on youtube please. with my credits

  • You would be suprised how easily one can overlook minor things. I'm only just now learning that you can high jump from atop a few air grab types in GoW1 like in CoO. I've just started noticing new sweet spots too. There are still new exploits being found even now. I found High Jump (GoW1) for myself LONG ago but never thought to use it with PR for the 'Higher' effect. I knew of Artemis' s,s,o combo getting better air time (set-up for Dissension) but didn't consider using it with PR..

  • Aah speedrunning, the art of knowing when to run away. Good Hydra handling and nice beam hopping.

  • Restart doesn't count against time? That's interesting and useful to know. Very clean work in the 1st fight. A few second could be saved by rolling instead of blocking during the Hydra (since you don't get pushed back that way) but that's damn hard to do. 2nd Hydra: checkpoint abuse to the rescue! I didn't know about this. Jumping through the whole pole to the other ship, nice. Thanks for uploading this so quick.
