I used anaglypta...or embossed...wallpaper border for the upper right rectangle. In addition to being available as a border, it is also available in rolls like regular wallpaper. I have also seen ceiling medallions for around the base ceiling lights. To glue it, I used ordinary white glue. Put a book underneath the canvas to create a solid background that you can put weight on during the drying process...that creates a very good bond. Don't forget to place non-stick aluminum foil on it so any excess glue won't stick to one of your books. :-) The stencil was my mother's, probably dating back to the 1940's or earlier.

  • Hi and welcome, Carla! Yes, it is finished except for covering up the staples on the side...it was a very inexpensive canvas and not gallery wrapped. I have been planning on doing a video not just about that piece but other projects I am working on. Can't believe I haven't done a video since February!

  • Hi Donna, can't wait to see the completed piece ! so interesting! cheers, Maria

  • Thanks...I've made quite a bit of progress but I've had a couple of other things to work on so just haven't gotten it finished. Hope to get it done soon and a video to show the results. Enjoyed watching the videos on your channel!
