yeah thats weird, so far i only see jeff loomis use it alot, but its my favorite scale, i over use it if anything, and i am a metal guitar player, but there are other metal players that use the diminished scale

you should listen to skull beneath the skin megadeth, a lot of rhandy rhoads specially steal away the night, Yngwye, Jake e. lee early ozzy. There's a lot of metal with it. Anyway is a good lesson you gave keep rocking.

It's a similar scale, I think Marty is playing the half-whole diminished whereas this is the whole-half diminished. YouTube ninjas please note I don't have a guitar with me and haven't checked this so please refrain from ripping me a new one xD
