The prop makes that noise because the ESC is set to 'BRAKE'!! I had no idea until my motor stopped over the ocean in my new BlitzRC 1600mm and it was gliding back to shore but the motor braked and it fell 20m short! There is no programming card for the stock ESC you have to do it through the Tx.

your controller is on the way out i would get a new esc before you fry your battery motor and maybe even your rx

i got the same bird! you replaced the motor? i just bought a turngy 650kv 65a motor for her ive never used electric always been nitro- before any advice?

@chrisjdoran This P-51 has flown many times in the 9 months I've owned it, and what a joy to fly with full retractable landing gear

@LICobra sweet, think it will be my next plane, love the P-51, and the FMS model is in my opinion the very best looking one! Crap how do i convince the wife lol

plug the battery to the airplane with the transmitter off. Turn the transmitter on at full throttle. Becarefull, the esc should start making short and long beeps. Once you get the the brake sound, pretty much three short beeps and one long beep, pull the throttle all the way down. Thats the way I did mine. Hope helps!!!

@MrRican34 I swapped out the stock ESC for a Castle Creations 60A and after I disabled the brake the noise was gone.
