A very quick view of the Istanbul Screenrecorder for Linux Desktops.
With Ubuntu you can install it with: sudo apt-get install istanbul

  • why is it so blurry?

  • I lowered the resolution because Youtubes limit was 70MB back then AFAIR.

  • Yeah well Istanbul doesn't work. I run the application then the red circle appears which is ambiguous... does this mean it's recording OR that I need to press that to record. In most applications like this the red circle usually means it is currently recording.

Anyway I've assumed both and it still doesn't save the video file when I attempt to create the file using the save dialog.

It saddens me that a lot of free applications suck so bad that they are unusable. Really annoying.

  • Finally one i can use! :D ty.
