I think though Jaz kind of abandoned the j-sette style, looking at it retrospectively, she introduced alot of new things that have allowed people like Shanketta to take it back to the old style, but with a twist--because of the innovations jasma brought in, i.e. leg extentions (well actually Nikela did the first in "Crazy in love" Jaz added the holding it), one-hand cartwheels, the backward body throw down, no hand front rolls, pop-ups, etc. Had it not been for Jasma,dont thnk thy wlda evolved.

@Eclefticsoul I agree with you. She did bring in some things that you see more of from the j-settes. Like the pop ups, that's like a "must" in j-sette routines now lol

ok, i see you don't know about this...this is jasma, the '06-'07 captain. This is the tryout routine. She's showing it to everybody to let everyone know tht when the prospective j-settes do it, this is what it looks like.

@bluphi1877 you are right about the cartwheel ... But not the leg extension or the body throw down. You are thinking about a death drop. I'm talking bout the move she did in the Touch/Dontcha routine. And the first true leg extension was Jaz. Nikela did a kick and touch in Crazy in Love.

@Eclefticsoul Agree with you when you say that Jasma somewhat abandoned the Jsettes style...a lil... But she did not introduce those new moves you named, such as the leg extensions, the 1-hand cartwheels were done 1st by Nakela in "Jsettes 2002 Bad Mamma Jamma" video, and the body throw down has been done different directions by jsettes before her...just not to the back. She was not that great after all

These older captains had much more spunk than the newer ones. You people think just by bringing new counts and some hot routines that makes you a good captain..no it doesnt you have to have the full package of getting all yo girls to look alike which Nickylla aced as captain. She is the truth cant nobody touch her. Channa legendary but i think Nickylla reigns supreme over her.
