Finally got around to recording another video! Decided I was getting sick of hearing Guitar Pro behind my other guitar stuff, so here is me playing all the instruments.

I currently have two more songs that I need to do videos of, one is an in-your-face metalcoreish type song, and the other is a nice laid back classic rock type. The rock one will take me longer, just because I definitely want to include the vocals with that one and I haven't quite got the lyrics all done yet.

Anway, comments/criticisms welcome. Enjoy!

  • A little choppy on the drums, but the epic guitars make up for it ;D

Is that a roland td-4? if so im getting the same one

  • @Sentenious I'm not sure if theres a difference between the TD4 and the TD4S, but this is the S. I love em, they are a blast to play. I'll blame most of the choppy drums on me being a not too superb drummer, but part of it is also because today was the first day I ever actually played the drums for this song on the kit (I compose them in Guitar Pro, haha)

  • I have to echo pretty much everything LukeNikolau said, and overall nice work! What's the drum kit you're using, it looks familiar but I can't remember and it's bothering me...

  • @Inimitablessj It's a Roland TD4S. I know a couple Rock Band guys have modded Roland kits to work with the RB setup, so thats probably where you have seen them before.

  • 2:23, I really liked that guitar riff man. Also, your tapping in the solo was quite impressive =O. Good stuff overall; I'd say that perhaps a bit too much distortion was used in both the lead and rhythm guitars in all honesty, but perhaps it'd sound a lot different if you had different recording equipment.

On a side note... would this "rock" song be that one song you sent me called "alone"? If so, I can't wait--that's definitely one of your most impressive songs.

  • @LukeNikolau Yeah, the distortion is partially because I accidentally recorded the guitars too quiet. Had to crank them up in Vegas, which didn't do much for the sound. And Alone is the rock song I was speaking of.

  • When are you planning to post these up on RBN?

  • awesome as always man!!!

  • @acrality Ahh yes, unfortunately that's something that I've had problems with in the past too. The only way to make things louder is to give the whole audio track a decibel boost, which kinda sucks. Also, come on AIM moar.

  • @NinjaTaco4Life It's an Epiphone something or other. Kind of wish it was a 4 string instead of a 5, but still lots of fun to play.

  • sweet! once you get some better recording stuff ill probally jizz in my pants or something.
