According to the the Administration Energy Plan, natural gas is needed to generate electricity instead of using coal. Natural gas is not the answer for transportation. Electric cars and hybrid automobiles only looks like we are doing something about reducing imported oil. The answer for transportation is Hydrogen fuel and that is decades away from being a substitute to oil. The truth is that we don't have a substitute for oil presently...we need Canadian mined bitumen now and thenearfuture
