The Singing Nun (Soeur Sourire) topped the music charts in 1963 with her single, Dominique after appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show. Jeannine Deckers left Fichermont convent in 1966 to live with Annie Pecher.

  • Misleading & Rubbish.

  • @PreposterousMusic

I checked out your page so, don't waste my time.

  • I did not use any of her songs due to a little thing called intellectual property law. I just made the video for fun and it was not worth several hundred dollars to use a Soeur Sourire copyrighted song, even though I know other people are doing it. One day it will cost them. I should know, I have a law degree. The song I used was royalty free and most people have liked it.

  • Very well done. A wonderfull thankyou to a woman,a nun and a very talented lady. I remember the song as a child. It made me feel happy and perhaps that was her gift to this world.

  • Great video, thumbs up. I have just read on Wikipedia about the "singing nun" and it is sad that her personal life was not as cheerful as her famous song.

  • @dachadwick1 Whats my page got to with this video being misleading and rubbish?

  • Sad

  • Great basic infoof the lives of two honest and dedicated people. Wrong time for them in every way. The music is remembered, and that reminds us. Thank you for the intro.

  • Nice video, but surely you could have picked better music? Why not use one of the songs from Soeur Sourire's famous album?

  • to my good friend Sandra and the gang at St Paul's Catholic Student Center
