"Blues for Ali" was recorded live on 11 december 2008 at Chateau Carton in Geneva.
Raaga Trio plays a subtle fusion of jazz and traditional west African music. Made up of three members from different backgrounds, the trios music pulls you into deep currents of Mandingue feeling and Jazzy sound and sweeps you away with the magnificent ngoni and bass ngoni of Andra Kouyaté , the excellent rhythms of the percussionist Baba Konaté and the harmonious, electric tones of Andreas Fulgosis superb guitar work. The Raaga Trio bring Jazz and Mandingue music together with amazing results the music is an invitation to embark on a journey through sound, and a chance to experience its positivism, its humanity and its generosity.
