This is an easy one - a loving God could not allow anyone to go to Hell if God was able to prevent such a thing. Not if the word "love" has any meaning whatsoever.
The Amish, in my area, regularly forgive those who commit violence against their community, because of their faith in God. So Tom Short's God is nowhere near as loving and moral and just and merciful as the Amish in Wayne County, OH. Isn't that sad? Shouldn't God be more than that?
