Hollow rails on a wood surfboard- how to make the transition from the thicker side rails to the thinner nose and tail where the strips go from on top of each other to side-by side. Board being built by Malcolm Schweizer of Schweizer Surfboards www.schweizersurf.com as a prototype for the Robert August "What I Ride" hollow wood kit being offered by Wood Surfboard Supply. From my site there is a link to Wood Surfboard Supply.

  • My next board will have these type rails. Your video has answered a lot of questions. Thanks for posting.

  • Malcolm, nice video. Good looking kayak at the end of the video. I just met you at the Sacred Craft Expo. Thanks for the pointers. I hope you and your fiancee' have a great Bareboat experience in May. I am the canoe builder you met.

  • great video- You are a real craftsman! I want to make my own- I live just down the road from Wood Surfboard Supply and ever since the Grizzly catalog arrived a couple days ago, it's all I look at on the internet....

  • I guess that works for ya. Nice wood.
