a camaro against an rx8 rofl... I am a die hard muscle fan, but one of my fav cars ever are the RX8's. That rx8 needs a new driver or a better tuned turbo...

A factory RX8 can run a 14.9 or maby "slightly" better by .2 seconds or so.

Were both vehicles stock? I used to drive an RX-7 turbo- it had amazing speed from about 30mph up, but was something of a dog off the line. Just curious- my sports car days are long gone.

you guys can say what you want, the RX8 isnt a drag racing car... the rx8 woulda passed that camaro further down the line for sure.. even at that... put it on a real race track.. the RX8 will chew it up in the corners.. Ill stick with my rx8. :)

Impressed with the 1.3L rotary that kept up well with a v8. Rotary > Piston. Just need a lil hp for the 8 and you're gonna kick that v8's ass. We don't need large displacements to kick your ass - ricers.

The RX8 isn't even a drag car...hell, soon it won't even be a car. They are going to stop making them. Could have predicted that when Brittney Spears debuted the car.

@GorillaONeil you act like the LS1's are boats in the handling category. High Perfomance Pontiac tested a stock 02 WS6 and she pulled a .94 on the skidpad. Most race tracks the LS1 will still walk the RX8...especially if there are any elevation changes. It's not hard to get make an fbody a beast on the track. how often do you race someone when handling actually comes in to play. 95% of all races between these two cars will be a drag/hwy race...I'll gladly stick with my WS6.

@uTubeJumpers21 Pfff...what is the best recorded time for any rotary motor? Quarter mile or top speed...doesnt matter cuz they are overshadowed by larger displacement motors in EVERY racing environment.
