it would be awesome to make a machine that could digitally/optically read these discs... i know the analog, wind-up stuff will last forever, but it would still be pretty cool.

@exxzxxe If you're interested in disc music boxes, I saw newly manufactured ones that sounded wonderful being sold in some gift shops for some lesser-visited theme parks in Florida. I can't remember the name of one of the places, but the (now-defunct) Cypress Gardens park's store sold them.

Every time I find a great music box, I look closely and it is you and either your great Stella or Mira! This is the first time I have heard "in the good old summertime" played on a Stella. It is magnificent! Thanks.

My aunt nd uncle had one of these wonderous machines and a couple of dozen discs as well. This was one of them. They passed on a few years back, and my aunt had sold the Stella before she died. Her daughters and the rest of the extended family miss it, but the cousins are having a family reunion in August and this delightful music will be part of the soundtrack! Thank you for posting this.
