There's a few variants on this with the same internal circuitry but different casing. I've had a completely red one and a Kawasaki branded one through here, and I think elsewhere online I've another variant on the red colour scheme.

This one's quite fun to play with, the built in guitar samples are distorted already, but the extra distortions work nicely. The voltage drop works in tandem with the LED in the neck - as it draws power to light, when the guitar is staved, it can induce an interesting LFO effect. Also, the light sensor is great fun for whammy bar style meddlings!

Added Features:

Tone Knob & Disable Switch
Distortion Knob
Voltage Drop Knob
3 Pitch Body Contacts
Pitch Knob & Disable Switch
Pitch Light Sensor & Disable Switch
1/4" Jack Output

  • The fuck is this shit ...........

  • hey i have one of those 'guitars' and would REALLY appreciate some help as to HOW to circuit bend it, ive never done it before but really want to leanr. THer doesnt sem to be much circuit in this to play with though!

    could you help me???

    thanks x

  • You'd be best off starting by search on Google for some beginner advice. As there's not much circuit to play with it won't take long to test all the points with each other, you'll easily find the pitch and distortion points like that, and the voltage drop is a straightforward 470ohm pot in between the batteries and the board.

  • @Benjowith91fries Cheers, and good luck!

  • Good stuff btw!

  • Hey I got a black and red variant of that guitar the other day!

Gonna start my first circuit bend in the next few weeks :D

  • Yeah, one of mine had the two resistors tied together - I'd guessed they ran out of one value in the factory and had to improvise! Don't think it was the Kawasaki though.

I'd wondered where the samples are from... bet they've not been cleared ;-)

  • lol, got one of these myself sitting in the corner waiting to be reborn.(Kawasaki version)

funny thing is how crude the circuitry is. On mine the pitch clock is 2 carbon resistors twisted together in series!

I love the shape of the toy thought and the metal samples sound like Motley crue's "Dr feelgood" wish the buttons on the neck were more responsive.

    Good stuff!
