On Working Webware, ZDNet Editor in Chief Dan Farber and Webware.com's editor Rafe Needleman sit down with AdventNet's CEO Sridhar Vembu to find out about Zoho's office productivity suite and how the CEO plans to compete against Microsoft and Google. Farber and Needleman then analyze the company's business model and determine Zoho's chance for success in the emerging Web 2.0 office software market.

  • Big big fan of Zoho. Been using some of the free tools and am now ready to move to a paid subscription. Goodbye MS OFFICE, so long QUICKBOOKS, and as soon as an iPad apps is up and running, goodbye LAPTOP!

  • @MarlonOwnsYourCake not a lot, I think most of what makes zoho great is how much focus it has on being powerfully business heavy (and catering to business needs) as opposed to the competitors but there's a great deal of overlap between what business users and college students need to do and students should know.

  • I absolutely love Zoho, they really do have a superior product (although now google's doing some much better things with mobile applications and providing services on more fronts and Microsoft has their sky drive which is in ways better than zoho's compatibility with box.net but I think space is shared between documents, pictures, etc on sky drive) I'm more of a student than a business man (i.e. not business at all) and I think zoho can benefit by reaching out a little more to that demographic.

  • ZOHO is fantastic for small business!! Keep up the great work.

  • I found Zoho on Linux free. It works for me, and much better than Open Office of which I find basic. Great for web design. Does Zoho need to be the biggest, as I don't think so.

  • I looking forward to checking this out for my business.

  • I am converting my company from Google Apps to ZOHO, it offers a lot, a lot more. Keep on ZOHO.

  • I think the zoho product suit is fantastic. Was a big google apps user before but am a zoho covert.

I actually think what the CEO said at the beginning of the video about having passionate users is so true - go and have a look, have a play, there is really everything you need to set-up a home based business.

  • very poor volume/sound

    where is mic placed?

  • Man, I love Zoho products. I really hope they are around 5 years from now. They just need to market their product like the big boys do. They need to put a human face on these products, make us feel like its natural for us to use them. So far, I applaud their achievements.
