If Philip's dress were in a better color, it could have held its own at the Oscars. These judges cannot see vision. Plus, the eagle dress wasn't meant for shopping; it's meant to be worn once at a party. Costumy? Not enough to matter w/ the right back drop.

Eli sucks!! I think he's full of pretensions and I can't believe that he's a designer.. I'm sorry but that's how I see it.

no offense but i'd rather wear blah than 4-year-old-vase-dress. seriously. i think the judges used the past performances of winnie and eli as a basis and i don't think they should. quite disappointing results.

indeed! so agree. in other PR's they were all aiming to be the top. all their interviews were about being the top. here they just want to be safe. T_T

i was gonna say the same thing in the last couple episodes...all they say is to be safe. it's kinda sad to hear it though you know. and the judges though kept telling them "to be careful..." I don't like that piece of advice especially when it is about fashion.

Ivan's dress is not avant garde. It's not fashion-forward, it's not innovative, it's not experimental, therefore it is NOT AVANT GARDE. And even if Ivan used the term avant garde to describe his garment, he would have put himself on bigger shame because the judges know what avant garde means, and sorry to say, that dress is not innovative.

Yeah, and Ivan's dress is costume-y, it's horrible.

Uh ya, it means the first group of troops sent in to battle. It's the phrase that the english "vanguard" comes from.

My statement was meant to be taken as "he shoulda said what he said in the back room" (which included the words avante garde)"and perhaps then they would have gone easier on him".

So, demented, instead of lamb-basting me for considering a garment to be interesting and artistic, just state that you disagree. It's the adult thing to do, don't ya know.
