The vastest structure ever is a collection of superclusters a billion light years away extending for 5% the length of the entire observable universe. Insert "yo mamma" joke here. If it took a God one week to make the Earth, going by mass it would take him two quintillion years to build this thing - far longer than science says the universe has existed for, and it's kind of fun to have those two the other way round for a change. Superclusters are large groups of smaller galaxy groups and clusters and are among the largest structures of the cosmos. They are so large that they are not gravitationally bound and, consequently, partake in the Hubble expansion.

    there are only 93 million light-years!

  • @adamdyerseve yes the observable universe. But outside that is a whole different ball game. That is far beyond our leavel of measurement with todays tech. and of course the speed of light untill we get that data.

  • @yourboycal No, the observable univ. is about 13.6 Gly (13.6 billion light years). And then there's the unobservable part outside that caused by cosmic inflation and the limited time for light to reach us since the universe became transparent (surface of last scattering, cosmic background radiation being the first radiation observable today).

  • @adamdyerseve sorry man, but whoever told you the diameter of the universe was 93 million light years has seriously misinformed you. . Quasar 3C 321 is approximately 1.4 billion light years from Earth, Streams of particles that blast from the nucleus of 3C 321 are some 185,000 light years long.

  • @wateronglass although the universe is 13.8 billion years old, its diameter isn't respectively13.8 billion light-years (as first expected) but highly larger for many reasons that i do not have the knowledge to explain. only one of the reasons is that the universe has constantly expanded like a balloon due to the activity of the dark energy and dark matter which have functioned as anti-gravity elements, and thus the universe is estimated to be 93 billion light-years in diameter.

  • @adamdyerseve Where did you get the figure 93 million ly from? The observable universe has an age of about 13.6 Gyr (13.6 billion light years = 13600 million light years).
