So... it's like a plotter with a cutting tool in place of the pen?

CNC like software or plotter like software?

Is it using a conventional PC?

The software that drives the machine is found here artsoftcontrols. You then need CAD and CAM software as well. CAD is for designing in, and CAM is for converting the design into numbers to drive the machine. I hope this helps.

Very well done man! I know these tables cost a lot commercially, but you spent a lot too on it! Where did the money go? Controllers and motors? or the gantry table? I have been longing to make a big table like this. I have a small cnc gantry I never did anything with really, just for experimenting fun. Bought a controller for it etc.
