Katsu Kubota racing his Historic F1, Lotus 88 ( the famous twin chassis car) on the Silverstone GP circuit. Filmed using Goldstar Onboard Racecam video system, more information can be found at www.goldstaronboard.com
@Eatinbritches - to clarify myself, the central body panel is connected to the outer chassis section - the wings, and essentially makes up an outer shell that stays sucked to the ground, regardless of the inner framework. It's really quite clever, and it seems clear why they never allowed it to race.
@maladsyko - yep - The 88 uses a double-chassis configuration. Underneath is a basic shell and drivetrain, but the wings are connected to the chassis and make up part of the suspension. The central body panel you see flexing downward underload is designed to do that, to direct the air around and through the car in such a manner that keeps it glued to the track. Such was the newly discovered principals of ground effects.
@govedar4o : do u know anything about the lotus 88 ? before commenting, look carefully at 1:48 to 1:50 ! that has nothing to do with suspension and physics laws. the bodywork alone goes down under acceleration !!
@Eatinbritches : Yes, I know how it works. But it must be complicated to set up !

Good overtake on the stowe, yes the body was created to lowers on the speed, it flexes continuously however; this car was unique in all history

look at the bodywork ! it goes up & down following the spped of the car. that's typical of the lotus 88 !

the avon control tyres are controlling this car too much!, proper goodyear tyres on and 5 seconds quicker per lap.
