Datarock & 2 Girls Onstage Do The Running Man

The audio's distorted, the camera's crazy jagged, but this was a lot of FUN. Sometimes you just point and shoot the chaos in front of you -- and when Datarock -- who in their red hooded tracksuits look like a chapter of The Bloods Gang by way of Planet Unibomber -- called for volunteers from the audience to do the Running Man onstage, there was just no keeping up with them nor these two dancing beauties, especially whilst simultaneously navigating through the dense concertswarm in front. Usually, when a band invites audience members onstage things gets flat quick, as the novelty wears off and legs start to get tired...but in this case, life onstage just gets more and more frenetic, with one girl breaking into a one-legged Running Man (not an easy feat) while another Cabbage Patches, then does a twisty mini-mambo, channeling a vintage swinging go-go mode, like the icon from The English Beat come alive, both of 'em totally stealing the show, and making me wish the band -- who I really enjoy -- weren't in the way of their dancing fans. 'Nice one, Datarock -- and still even nicer one, ladies...thanks a lot, I really needed this bit of joy.
