HP at Graph Expo: Making Customized DK Travel Guides

Graph Expo: This summer, DK, an imprint of Pearson's Penguin Group publishing house, gave HP permission to produce a limited number of custom travel guide books using content from popular DK guides for Chicago, Las Vegas and New York and Orlando. The books are on display at Graph Expo 2010, the largest North American graphic arts trade show of the year.

Courier Corporation printed the books on coated media using the HP T300 Color Inkjet Web Press with an HP SmartStream Ultra Print Server.

After processing and imposing the guides in prepress, Courier sent cover files to its HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press using the HP SmartStream Production Pro digital front end.

Once printed, Courier folded and trimmed the books in-line through a proprietary workflow the company created using finishing solutions from Muller Martini and additional HP Graphics Solutions Partners.

The end result is this special DK travel guide book, created for you by HP.
