I have a bit of a lazy eye as well and after having been a fan of Thom's and Rhead for so long I now hold this eye as a badge of insane incomprehensible genius.

Actually they had pretty much fixed it and then the last surgery was botched.

partially true. the doctors had to do a few surgeries on it and they botched the job. he says that in an interview somewhere

curious - why wasn't he interviewed by Rollins? I'd hate to think it's because Thom wouldn't be comfortable in the same room as him... HR is one the most genuine people in music

he was born with an eyelid sealed shut and the surgery could only fix so much
