Sakura or Cherry Blossom

Played on a 3/4" CPVC 1.8 shakuhachi with accompaniment from NoteWorthy Composer to keep the timing right.

It has taken some time to learn how to make a playable shakuhachi but I have succeeded. Learning how to get the sound is also a trial and takes a lot of bad playing before it gets reasonable. I still hope to improve and to try some Irish tunes.

I think I have 4 shakuhachis around the house. It took a few tries to get a vaguely clean tone. Make sure the mouthpiece has a clean edge to cut the airstream. That and the angle were the things I had the most trouble getting right. (I probably still need to improve them)

You may need to play in a slightly higher key to get the notes to come out right, but it sounds like you have a start to a good flute. Good work!

I think it's quite kewl ^^ I need to find the proper notes for this Sakura Song, does any of you have any idea where I can find it? I need the notes for my project :3 I'm the one who gets to play the flute ^o^

I didn't comment to be offensive, fyi. I was refering to that flute. I suggest attempting that song through a real shakuhachi. Many of the notes from that flute were different from the notes from the song. Can you not hear that, sir?
