As an Italian, I am ashamed that Mussolini attacked 1 of only 2 countries not colonized by by an European Power. Mussolini did this because he foolishly followed the lead of Hitler. If he had followed the lead of Franco-who did not try to conquer other peoples and was happy with Spain-he would have died in power as he did...instead of being hung by his heels next to Clara Pitacchi in 1945!!

I do think the whole situation would be a little ridiculous for Britain and France to criticize Italy for annexing Ethiopia. I mean if you look at the map of Africa at the time, those two powers occupied about 75% of the continent. Every piece of land in Africa except Abyssinia was occupied by a European country, so how could they really criticize Italy for grabbing their piece of the pie?

This documentary almost brought tears to my eyes. People of this land of unimaginable beauty and Religion has set an example to the whole world that Africans are humans and can defend themselves. Mussolini invaded Ethiopia, trying to avenge his ancestors defeat but his troops were once again destroyed by Ethiopians, He was forced to swallow the bitter test defeat by Black People. My land I proudly called Ethiopia, many tried to conquer but always protected by her brave children and God.

the italians owe the ehtiopians ,the distruction they never rose from to this day their lands are barren ,coz of the chemicals used in this war,so the cry for hunger every year
