  • Thank you very much

  • The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

    George Bernard Shaw

  • Simple yet expansive

  • @TheWeepingCorpse OK. Thanks for the debate.

  • @mangoswiss bullshit. that is all.

  • @TheWeepingCorpse I've been an engineer/scientist for 10+ years. My personal experience is that my degree showed an ability to apply myself and absorb complex ideas. I believe that my employers had little interest in the knowledge gained at university.

In the last few years I have been running my own software development company and a criteria for hiring is a good computer science degree and a passion for the subject. I don't really care too much about the subjects they study.

  • As always, your presentation is highly consumable. Your goal of ensuring different theoretical arguments are incorporated into your course clips is on track for a student that is attempting to understand differing concepts so as to formulate their own position. I thought the point you made about being exposed to a singularities while studying at a university was on target. Its generally up to the student (scholar) to explore opposing theories on their own at the post-grad level. Great Job!

  • These were some genius questions and awesome answers.

    Goooo Sal :D:D

  • Thank you Sal. My hope is that Khanacademy will open up the doors for everyone. My daughter at Northeastern feels shortchanged because the professors are less than adequate. She went to a chemistry lecture at MIT and was in awe. She went to a Harvard lecture and again there is a big difference in the caliber of teaching. She aced her courses but found she had to go elsewhere to learn it. You're the bomb that will explode education in this country.

  • Will there be a way to practice/test for subjects other than math?
