tulpengekte 1) the Intervention , I agree, we should not have as many bases as we do.
2) North Korea we might have to, Iran hopefully not but we might have to. Pakistan is an ally, so is Israel. Russia isnt a threat at all (they are not 12ers suicide believers) So are many others. We should have went in the countries we went in, but the war should have been swift brutal, and we should have been out a very long time ago.

@samuils

Re (1): No, we should have gone after those responsible. Additionally, we should have had a rational discussion regarding the actual reasons they attacked us (mostly intervention in middle-eastern affairs) and whether such intervention is worth the all this blow-back in the form of massive death and destruction.

Re (2): This logic is insane. Why not go on a killing spree then and attack North Korea, Iran, Pakistan, Israel, India, Russia, China, etc.?

War is what I disagree the most with Ron Paul, yes we do not need so many bases. BUT
1) We were attacked on 9/11 (we should have done nothing?)
2) Reason for Iraq, was because UN inspectors were kicked out, so we had no idea if Saddam had nuclear weapons or not, and waiting to make sure through a mushroom cloud in one of our cities isnt a good approach

I love how these hyper-intelligent Randists can't argue their way out of a paper box. There's persuasive arguments against socialism, if you can define it correctly. They can't though because they can't see a difference between Food Stamps and a State Farm. Morons.

the increasing cost of living is due to inflation, dumbass

when the system was fiscally responsible, and al the national debt was paid off (late 1800s) for a period of about 40 years the value of money increased and goods got cheaper as the GDP of the United States grew. The free market drives down the cost of living

Socialism has always worked!!

Just look at Maoist China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Cuba!!

oh boy oh boy!! i want to get out of my difficult and oppressed corporate life in Canada and move to those places!!

hahahahaha

even socialist sweden had to make free market reforms because of their excessive socialism. socialism leads to fiscal mismanagement, which creates inflation, and causes the system to create its own form of counterfeiting to balance the books

People don't seem to know this and it's quite important so I'm going to add this note:

On an Episode of Conan O'Brien a few months ago, Michael Moore was on as a guest. The interview began with Michael Moore pointing out to Conan that "we have the same manager, Ari Emanuel, the brother of Rahm Emanuel- Obama's top advisor in the White House"

Michael Moore= managed by- Ari Emanuel = brother of Rahm Emanuel= TOP advisor to Obama.

Sounds like Propaganda to me, 3 degrees of separation from Obama

The fact that people do not get turned away, the fact that so many people rely on emergency room treatment, drives up insurance premiums and health care costs for those that do have the means to pay.

Americans need to wake up! Why is Rep. Paul the only one in congress with his eyes open?

Call your congressmen and women tell them to support HR1207/ S604

We as citizens can make a different. Don't always take what you are given. Critical thinking is key. Do your research.
